Background
Companies and institutions need to see how their own name appears in news articles. But articles pour out in countless numbers every day, and only a handful of them are relevant.
Existing tools are usually setup-first. You have to get past a screen for deciding what and how to filter before you see any articles. Some people give up at that step.
The problem we defined
The problem was removing the effort it takes to get started.
No matter how good the filtering performance is, if getting to first use is a hassle, people won’t use it. It has to run right away with just one keyword.
What we built
- It takes only keywords — enter the terms you care about and it starts from there. Fine-grained conditions are narrowed down later
- In four languages — the interface is available in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese. It is not a service that only covers domestic articles
- It sends only matches — if you send everything, people stop reading. It picks out and notifies only what matches the registered keywords
- We added a subscription — you start free, and move to paid when you want more
